Mr. Eckard is the Owner and President of Eckard Land and Acquisition, Ltd. As President, he oversees the company's direction and overall investment strategies when acquiring real estate or hard assets. He works with corporate staff members to create the firm's policies, acquisitions and is instrumental in the investment decisions for the firm. He has focused two decades on the identification and procurement of undervalued assets that can create long-term value through proper management and planning. He utilizes a broad knowledge from his experiences involving energy investments, mineral rights and real estate acquisitions during his career to provide the foundation for ELA's direction. Over the last two decades he has elevated himself to a position of expertise in understanding and handling private Partner's investment needs. Mr. Eckard has over 20 years of expertise in creating direct participation programs and private offerings in the acquisition of mineral interests, water rights and real estate developments.
Don Hambly joined the Eckard Companies in 1992 and is currently the Vice President of Operations for American Energy Partners, Inc., Eckard Land & Acquisition, Ltd., Eckard Natural Resource Group, LLC and Eckard Investment Services, Inc. Mr. Hambly specializes in the acquisition, development and operational oversight of oil and gas and Edwards Aquifer assets for the Eckard Companies and its Partners. Mr. Hambly is also responsible for ensuring Eckard Investment Services, Inc's compliance with all FINRA, State and SEC regulations and holds the Series 6, 7, 22, 24, 26, 39, 63 and 65 FINRA securities licenses. Prior to joining the Eckard Companies, Mr. Hambly served in the United States Army with the 3d US Infantry "The Old Guard", stationed in Washington D.C.
Brian Topper has over 25 years of experience in accounting and financial management in a broad spectrum of industries. Prior to joining Eckard Companies, he held financial management positions in the health club, airline, computer, telecommunications, and construction industries. His positions ranged from CFO, Controller and Director of Accounting for each of his former employers. Early in his career, he worked for the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and has recently been responsible for SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for a public company where he was employed. Mr. Topper moved to the San Antonio/Boerne, Texas area three years ago to be closer to family and to further his career. He has been a licensed CPA since 1986 and is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in accounting. He has experience with both public and private companies in managing finance, accounting, legal, human resources, information systems, and administrative functions.
Doug Dorsey has over 25 years of experience in construction engineering and has proved to be a successful project, operations and program manager. Through the years he has participated and/or managed over 35 projects totaling more than $536 million in total value. His expertise includes, but is not limited to, field supervision, field engineering, quality control, project scheduling, pre-construction, estimating, project management, operations management, and program management. Mr. Dorsey holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Texas Tech University. He, along with his wife and son, reside in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas.
